- Infrared sauna sessions help reduce cortisol and support the body's detox processes.
- One to two sessions a week may be enough to help, and all you have to do is sit and relax.
You've done all the right things, you're tired of taking supplements, and the scale still won't budge. If you're starting to lose hope, Dr. Parsons wants to tell you about the infrared sauna she uses in her office.
How an Infrared Sauna Works
Infrared panels in front of and behind you direct infrared light, which we can't really see, to activate the body's healing processes. According to Dr. Parsons, it helps reduce cortisol, which rises when we're stressed, and it helps the body detoxify.
The Detox and Weight Connection
Dr. Parsons explains that many people struggle to lose weight because their bodies can't clear out toxins, substances the body has no use for. Using an infrared sauna one to two times a week could be enough to activate a different way of detoxing and help start the shift into fat burning.
What to Look For
- Choose a sauna made from poplar wood, which Dr. Parsons considers the best option.
- Some models, like the one in her office, let you change the light color, which she says activates different healing processes in the body.
The Easiest Thing You Can Do for Your Health
All you have to do is sit. You can nap, listen to music, or play a podcast. Some people even call it their "prayer box."

Are you overweight and frustrated because you can't lose it? You've done all the right things, you're tired of taking supplements, you feel stuck, and you're starting to lose hope. I want to tell you about this magical thing called an infrared sauna. This is the one that we have here in the office. It's technically considered a two-person sauna; however, I'm not going to share with anyone. One of the beautiful things about an infrared sauna is these panels, in front of me and behind me, which direct infrared light (not something we can really see) to activate the body into healing. It helps to reduce cortisol, which increases when we're stressed, but it also helps the body detoxify. Many of you are unable to lose weight because you can't detoxify, can't get the toxins, which are things the body has no use for, out of your body. Just getting in the sauna one to two times a week could be enough to activate a different way of detoxing the body. And just by doing this, sitting naked in the sauna could be enough to start to get you into fat burning. So if you're depressed about your weight, you don't recognize the person in the mirror, and you just can't choke down another supplement, try an infrared sauna. Make sure it's poplar wood. That's the best wood for it; the other woods cause problems. Get in the sauna. All you have to do is sit. You can even take a nap. It doesn't matter. You just want all the rays hitting your body to help get your body back on track again. With this particular model, I'm able to change the color of the light, because each color activates different things as far as healing in the body. So if you fall into that category where you're stuck, you're frustrated, you want to get some weight off, and you just don't have the energy to do it anymore, get into the sauna. Let us help you. You get to kick back. Some people call this their prayer box. You can listen to music, podcasts, whatever you want to do, but let's get you healthy. This is the simplest thing you can do for your health. I hope this serves you well, and I hope to see you soon. Bye.
